The effects of smoking cigarettes is not a secret anymore. Not only can it kill you (and most likely will if you keep doing it) but it will more likely just impair you - smoking kills you slowly and painfully.
If you're a smoker please consider quitting before it's too late.
Smoking cigarettes can cause cancer, lung disease, heart disease, impotence, high blood pressure and more plus it turns your skin and teeth an ugly yellow and it just makes you look like a fool.
Smoking is more addictive then heroin.
My father was a chain smoker, at the age of 60 he developed rectal cancer. He didn't die right away, instead he had to have a colostomy and chemotherapy and radiation. Eventually, about 2 years later the cancer came back, it spread to his bones and caused open gaping wounds. My dad suffered a slow, horrible death. My mom had to take care of him, help him to the bathroom, bathe him and care for his wounds which reeked of dying flesh.

I'm so sorry about your father. My husband was a chain smoker for years, but quit before I met him, thank goodness. You've handled a tough topic very well. I hope people listen! Posted November 09, 2007 |

Great lens! Smoking is a horrible and self-destructive habit. Watching my grandfather die of lung cancer when I was a kid convinced me to never start. Posted November 07, 2007 |
